Voozie Maker allows you to attach and send text, photos, music, voice recording
and video. It also has a variety of special effects, additional plug-ins (called
Voozitrons) and other features that help you create truly unique Voozies.
Voozie Maker is a free program. At present sending all Voozies is free. It is likely
that at a later date the service will be split between Basic Voozies, that will
remain a free service, and Super Voozies, a subscription based service with more
features than the Basic.
Voozie Maker requires Windows 2000, XP or Vista to run. It also requires Internet
access. Please go to the
Download
page and follow the instructions.
Once the Voozie Maker loads and you see the "Welcome" menu, click on "Show
me how" and pay attention during the introduction tutorial. There are tutorials
for both Basic and Advanced modes. They will explain the steps you need to follow,
and introduce the basic functions of the program. You can review it by clicking
"Help" at any point during your Voozie making process. Hint: Turn your
volume up so you can listen to the tutorial.
Advanced mode as the name suggests is for more advanced Vooziers. Just kidding!
Anyone can use it! The main feature of Advanced mode is being able to customize
your creation slide by slide. You can add voice comments to each slide, change songs
throughout the message, insert greeting cards and other Voozitrons, play with image
transition effects. It helps to create much richer Voozies and accomplish a more
impressive result.
Voozitrons are different plug-ins for your Voozies. They range from jokes, fortune
cookies and greeting cards to advanced text and photo editing tools. All of them
are meant to enhance your Voozie creating experience; give you more options as well
as wow the recipients even more.
Greeters are Voozie postmen, funny characters that deliver your Voozies. Each one
comes with a variety of different moods and actions. We are certain you will find
a perfect one for your recipient. To keep your greeter collection up-to-date, Voozie
Maker automatically checks the online gallery for new characters.
Skins are frames for your Voozies. They range from seasonal to special occasions
and simple fun.
The voice recording feature has a limit of 1 minute.
Once you are done creating and you have tested it, just click “Send “and select
the preferred method. You can send Voozies via E-mail, Skype or any file sharing
software. If you choose the E-mail method, your Voozie creation will be added as
an attachment to a new message in your E-mail client. If you use a web-based E-mail
e.g. Gmail, Yahoo mail, send your Voozie to file, save it and attach that file manually.
If you are using Skype, click on that option in the “Send” menu and pick the recipient
from the buddy list.
If you sent your Voozie via E-mail the recipient will receive your Voozie as an
attachment. If they don't have a Voozie Maker, they will be prompted to download
it. Once that's done, the Voozie will open on their screen. When you send a Voozie
via Skype, the recipient gets a dialog box just like when a file is sent.
If you already have the Voozie Maker installed, click on the attachment and the
Voozie will begin to play. Otherwise it will prompt you to download the Voozie Maker
before you can play your message.
To erase a Voozie and start over, click on "Menu" in your Voozie Maker
and select "New".
Yes, you can choose to save a Voozie half way through and finish it later. To save
a Voozie or to open a previously saved one, click "Menu" in your Voozie
Maker, and select the desired option.
On the "Images" tab in your Voozie Maker click "Add" and browse
your computer for photos and images. Once you find the image you need, click "Open"
and it will get added to Voozie Maker.
On the sounds tab in Voozie Maker click on "Browse" MP3 button. You can
then navigate folders with songs in MP3 format on your computer. Once you've located
your song, click the "Open" button to download that song to Voozie Maker.
The song will be displayed in the Voozie Maker, and you can loop or cut fragments
for your Voozie.
Your Voozie Maker has an "Archive" box. There you will find all sent and
received Voozies.
If the sender checked the "Allow others to edit this Voozie" box, you
should be able to edit a received Voozie.
If the sender checked the "Allow others extract images" box, you should
be able to extract images from a received Voozie.
In order to avoid copyright infringement, you are not able to extract songs from
received Voozies.
